Zeta Reader Mark 21 - Status: Down
|
The Zeta Reader measures the surface charge of particles (~0.1 to >100 microns) in dilute aqueous suspensions. It is particularly well suited to samples where the surface chemistry may not be uniform from particle to particle. |
The Zeta Reader Mark 21 measures the zeta potential of particles from 0.1 micron diameter to over 100 microns diameter. The Zeta Reader uses a microscope and digital image capture to look at the particles streaming past the light source and displays the motion on the computer monitor. This makes the Zeta Reader unique among such instruments in that you see what you are measuring. It is possible to generate a zeta potential distribution, since it is obvious that not all the particles move at the same speed for a given accelerating voltage. This has a great advantage over "black box" measurements in studying charged particles. Suspensions are currently restricted to aqueous media.
